The area called 'het Bildt' has attracted many artists to live and to work. The surroundings are very inspiring, especially the Wadden Sea with its open scapes and mindblowing qualities. About 30 artists join the collective 'Kunstkring Uytland'. Whole year round they exhibit their works at the Aerden Plaats and twice a year they organize a weekend with an Open Studio Tour called 'Slikwerk'.
