In addition to watching book trailers and playing reading-based games, students can utilize search engines, read book reviews, learn about authors and look up reference information. SlimeKids not only provides access to these resources, but gives guidance on their use and is designed to self-motivate students to make their own judgements and choices. All games featured on SlimeKids are language arts-related games with bona fide educational value including spelling, typing, vocabulary and grammar games. The large and growing collection of book trailers can be searched by year or by grade level. SlimeKids is an acronym for School Library Media Kids.
