Established on 1 January 1967, referring to the mandate of Ministry of Education and Culture No. 109 / SMA / B / 1967 (School Statistics Number: 3011-3600-3003), under the name of "SMA Baperki," SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak, or SMANTA for short is a respectable school in West Kalimantan. Sir FX Soejiman (1967-1977) was the first school principal.SMANTA is located in WR Supratman No-1, Pontianak City, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. This school provides opportunities for students to concentrate on a specific field in Natural Science, Social Science, and General Academics. They will also be exposed to Sports, Arts, and Design, and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood courses depending on the track they wish to choose. SMANTA's vision is "smart and qualified," manifesting itself as a platform that produces students of character, civilized, independent, far-sighted, resilient, respectful, and nationally recognized to lead the change towards improving the welfare of the people of West Kalimantan and Indonesia.In line with the motto, "DS3" which means "Discipline (Disiplin), Greeting (Salam), Smile (Senyum) and Courteous (Santun)," SMANTA promotes and develops students' character - humble, resilient, agile, respectful, motivated, nation-oriented, and consistently produce excellent human resources for better Indonesia.
