SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang is a government-owned school that was founded on April 21, 2004. Located on Jl. HOS Cokroaminoto PURI BETA 2, RT. 001 / RW. 009, Larangan Utara, Kec. Larangan, Kota Tangerang, Banten, 15154. Tel. (021) 73458340. At the beginning of its establishment, SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang did not have its own land and school building but boarded the SMP Negeri 11 Tangerang school which was located in the Larangan Selatan area until 2007. For 3 years, SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang was led by H. Drs. Nandang Suryana (Alm), at that time, occupied a location at SMP N 11 Tangerang, and through a negotiation process with the Puribeta housing developer and the Tangerang City Government, finally, Puribeta 2 donated a plot of land for Fasum and Fasos to the City Government to be used as a School Building Construction Land. And in 2007 where the first batch of SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang will soon graduate, the building was completed and then inaugurated by the City Government. Alhamdulillah, batch 1 has enjoyed the building for about a semester. As long as the new building was occupied, many developments occurred rapidly starting from the facilities and infrastructure and the number of students, and SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang was a school that was used as a pilot school by the government so that the school leadership had shifted to Mr H. Drs. Arbani between the period 2010 - 2015 and SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang continued to improve and improve the quality of human resources and infrastructure. Around 2016 SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang then changed its leadership again, this time led by Mr H. Wowo Permana, M.Pd, during his leadership SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang continued to experience increased progress and several improvements with the aim that SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang became better schools in the future.
