Smart Campus Lab Details
Smart Campus Lab is a laboratory funded by Trento RISE, an EIT-ICT Labs core partner and international excellence ICT pole in Trentino, to build a smart citizenship in Trentino, starting from Trento University campus. The project provides advanced Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions to catalyze the creativity and enthusiasm of all people and institutions involved in a University campus leading them to become active producer of innovative services designed to support their life and operations. This is a first step toward the vision of a smart city in Trentino. The campus, with its students, researchers, and institutions, is a scaled-down, but complete, model of a Smart City. It provides a complex, yet controlled, ecosystem of citizens, operations, and businesses. Our long term goal is to realize a smart city living lab in Trentino, and Smart Campus will prepare a first core of citizens for seeding the vision and opening it to a wider population. The "University of Trento" and the "Fondazione Bruno Kessler" both participate in the project as providers of research results and innovative ICT solutions.
