Smart Commute Mississauga is an incorporated nonprofit organization that operates in partnership with the Region of Peel, the City of Mississauga, and members from both the Mississauga business community and public sector, with financial support from Metrolinx.We are a Transportation Management Association (TMA) that works to reduce traffic congestion and to take action on climate change by encouraging the use of sustainable modes of transportation in the City of Mississauga.Our mission is to have a positive measurable impact on the environment by reducing vehicle travel, air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.Our vision is to promote sustainable, active transportation choices to all member businesses and their employees.Our goal is to make commuting easier, healthier and more enjoyable.Smart Commute Mississauga actively works with large employers in the City of Mississauga to understand their commuter's objectives and specific needs. We have strategically fashioned resourceful integrated workplace programs and initiatives that provide our business members and their employees' valuable information, training guides and internal/external resources to promote and support sustainable transportation choices.
