SmartBoot is a company based in Irvine, California, dedicated to solving the problem of localizing personnel in environments where GPS fails or has degraded performance. The company's mission is to develop SmartBoot, an intelligent shoe that tracks position of personnel in complicated and extreme environments and monitors their activities. Our mission is motivated by that no accurate and reliable localization solution exists for all indoor environments. With the SmartBoot, we can provide indoor localization services for personnel, such as firefighters or first responders, who often operate in complex environments. The indoor localization services include pinpointing the longitude, latitude, and altitude of a person, indicating what room the person is in, and specifying what floor the person is on. We also envision that the services provided by SmartBoot can be extended to the industries of medical and fitness. In the medical industry, the SmartBoot can offer data including gait patterns, shock levels, foot stability, traveling speed, foot motions. This data is useful for monitoring and diagnoses of elderly and people with disabilities. In the fitness industry, the SmartBoot can offer information, such as distance traveled, gait speed, step counting, elevation, and calory tracking. We haven't formed an entity yet, but we plan to register SmartBoot company as LLC in California.
