SmartShifts was founded in 2020 by a group of like-minded people who have come together to improve the way care staff and care homes work together.With experience in the care industry, we believe that care workers should be empowered to choose when and where they want to work, on their own terms.We strongly felt that it wasn't right that traditional agencies dictate what work you can have - the whole reason for being an independent worker is to be that: independent.We believe care providers across the industry should be able to manage their own temporary staffing network and be able to post shifts at the touch of a button, rather than having to find the time to call a traditional agency and wait for them to get back to you. We think you should be able to post your own shifts, see and choose your own workers, pay a rate that you decide and get results in real time, without taking you away from the care setting.Smart, right?
