The Smiles for Seniors Project is an intergenerational community initiative, conceived by Marilynn Olson. The program connects local children with Seniors in aged care facilities through personalised art and digital content. The program's intention is two-fold. 1. To help combat the increasing isolation of seniors in aged care facilities due, in part, to COVID-192. To drive social impact through the nurturing of emotional intelligence (EQ) in school children by connecting them with for purpose community initiatives that align with specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The program is delivered in partnership with Alison Harrington, a social entrepreneur and Founder and CEO of Moove and Groove. This purpose-driven organisation provides full online audio and visual lifestyle program for seniors in aged care via silent disco technology.
