We were married in July 1999. As a newly married couple, we found that we were spending most of our time working and not spending enough time together. We both loved photography and someday wanted to start a business where one (or both) of us would be able to stay home to raise our children. With that desire, we started our photography business in 2000.We enjoy being small business owners, which gives us an opportunity to get out together (or as a family), meet new people, and take some great pictures. To help us create a business we'd be proud to own, we spent a lot of time asking people what they liked and disliked about photographers they encountered (from their wedding, weddings attended, family portraits, senior portraits, or whatever). It was from those collective comments that we built the foundation of business.After more than 10 years in the business, our kids like to get involved. They sometimes assist on photo shoots or pick up a camera and get some shots from their perspective.We feel so blessed when couples and families allow us to enter into their lives for a few hours or for a day to capture a special moment in time.We look forward to meeting you,Chad & Deb Smits, owners
