Smultronstället is a Swedish Saturday School in London, aimed at children aged 1-9 years old. The school aims to encourage and develop the Swedish language in children living in London with at least one Swedish parent. The youngest children practice their Swedish through singing, playing and creating arts and crafts, whilst learning numbers letters and colours. The older children practice reading and writing skills, whilst the speech is encouraged through interaction with their peers. We work with different themes each term and emphasise Swedish traditions to strengthen the cultural identity. We celebrate all the major Swedish holidays, such as lucia and midsommar.\\We also offer a Holiday Club during certain school holidays.
