Fairfax County Economic Development Authority & Social Media Week Fairfax are hosting SMWFairfax on October 18, 2018, at Capital One Headquarters in McLean, VA. This year the theme is Closer and will explore the intensifying conflict between individualism and community and will tackle three big sub-themes including The YouUniverse, The Social Divide, Are we at a New Tipping Point? and AI vs Humanity. Last year's event, SMWiFairfax.com, was attended by 365+ attendees and featured speakers from NPR, CNN, The Guardian, The Hill, NASA, Booz Allen, Cvent, CIA, Capital One, Amazon Web Services and more.
