SOAR's mission is to improve education opportunities in the rural areas of China.SOAR is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious charity that offers scholarships to impoverished and capable Chinese youths to help them complete secondary education. It was founded in San Francisco in 1995. SOAR has over 60 volunteers in US and 50 student nominator volunteers in China.It costs $450 to support a SOAR high school student; $700 to sponsor a college student.
