Social Charging connects electric drivers to each other and to smart systems. It is a location based social network for electric vehicle (EV) drivers, facilitating social contact around charging points - already from a distance. Social Charging also connects electric drivers to smart systems, for Next Generation Smart Charging. Social Charging is the missing social infrastructure fitting the technical infrastructure. By connecting electric car drivers in a location-based manner, Social Charging enables them to share charging points efficiently. And (optionally) enables them to easily smart charge their cars. The Social Charging app for iOS and Android is the first important step for establishing this social infrastructure: it facilitates location based social contact around (publicly available) charging stations, automatic check-ins and check-outs on charging stations, smart charging of electric vehicles; reduce the load on the electricity grid and enable drivers to charge greener and cheaper (by using local energy or cheaper rates based on our energy markets connection). Social Charging also provides relevant alerts for EV-drivers, like updates about your battery-state-of-charge when you are charging. There are apps where EV users can manually check-in and check-out on charging stations. But there isn't any platform/app – worldwide - who does this automatically. We use state-of-the-art location technology and direct connections with charging stations to accomplish this. We are very open to partner with other apps/organizations, for integration of our technology in their app(s). And our app is also available for white labeling. By establishing strong partnerships we jointly can create the biggest impact regarding our mission: improve air quality, by dismantling barriers to drive electric.
