The Department of Computer Science at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is a large and growing department with exciting undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and the Society of Computer Science is the official governing body of all student related activities.The Society of Computer Science of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (CSC of USJP) is a student based society which was established in the year 2000 to support the computer science students. The main objectives of the society include, promoting computer science as a subject, improving the knowledge of information technology among students as well as encouraging the students to participate in IT events and competitions while facilitating them to gain knowledge and experience from the industry.Apart from this, the society conducts events, workshops, seminars, lectures and field tours related to computer science. Further we maintain a newsletter, website and notice boards to encourage student ideas and creativity. We aspire to produce knowledgeable and skilled graduates that can make a revolution in this IT driven world.
