The goal of SESE is to publicize Environmental Systems Engineering (ENVSE) to industry, corporations, and the Penn State Community. The society encourages student engagement through different professional development activities, such as hosting industry and government speakers, field trips, and facilitating student-faculty interaction. Additionally, SESE creates opportunities for underclassmen in the ENVSE major to collaborate with upperclassmen and learn from their peers' experiences.
