SOFITESA, the Promotion and Investments Society of Tenerife, was created in 1999 by the leading political and economic institutions of the Island, with the objective of developing and advancing economic activities in Tenerife. Since October 2009, the Society is composed by the Island Council of Tenerife, the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. To further integrate Tenerife into the global economy, SOFITESA employs two brands: 1) Tenerife Capital Business (TCB) serves as the face of Tenerife abroad, attracting and organizing national and foreign investment. TCB aims to draw in investments from a wide range of sectors in order to diversify the local economy. 2) In addition to facilitating investment, SOFITESA also promotes international trade through the World Trade Center (WTC) in Tenerife. The WTC functions as a fully integrated business center, offering a range of resources and trading opportunities for both the local and international level. TCB seeks to inform and attract investors to Tenerife, in particular all those associated to new industries and services, such as consultancy, new technologies, communications, etc. TCB, with the support of SOFITESA, has the capacity, experience and contacts to manage a wide-range investment projects in Tenerife. Whether investors aim to supply local markets or to use Tenerife as a gateway to other markets, TCB can help investors get the most out of what the Island has to offer.
