My name is Imani Hicks, I created SOHOA INC. to offer consumer goods & services equitably to mitigate consumer inequity via a DEIB & socially impactful approach . SOHOA is an acronym for Sharing Open-minded Healing Opportunities Authentically. I believe in creating work that contributes to healing our planet and helping the people who inhabit it. Through my cross-industry professional experience, I noticed many companies include BILAMM and LGBTQIAP+ consumers in the marketing stage but neglect their needs during development and design. I created the SOHOA brand to combat unconscious bias by targeting a lack of authentic, intersectional minority representation during product development, design, and marketing. Enhancing cultural awareness prevents promoting harmful stereotypes in your branded content that alienates customers. It also ensures your products perform as advertised, benefit your customers, and exceed their expectations. I didn't want to create another corporation that harmed the people it claimed to help. I also want my company to be set a new standard within Corporate America, so that other companies could have a more positive impact on society and their consumers.
