https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vJbUqOAjnMModern farming are facing major challenges. The world needs more food, yet it is becoming increasingly stricter regulations for what the farmers are allowed to use to combat weeds, fungi and nematodes (WFN hereafter). The situation is further aggravated by the fact that the Western world demands more organic foods and that more and more species of weeds and fungi become resistant to pesticides that previously worked.Soil Steam International AS (hereafter SSI) has developed a unique machine that removes between 95 and 100% of all WFN in the soil using steam. There is no other machine that does this the world today. This can have enormous impact on food production in the world. An increasing number of fungi and weeds become resistant to pesticides and at the same time it is becoming more pesticides prohibited. This means that producers of vegetables and flowers in many cases not have effective alternatives left to fight fungus, disease and weeds. The steam kills close to 100% all WFN.Up to now it have been developed five prototypes and the final prototype is so good that the company now has the objective of the final machine should be ready for the market during 2020. SSI has intent for delivery of machines with significant international actors in important markets such as USA, Germany and Australia.
