Solaqua Power & Art brings Art to Power and Power to Art.This 100,000 sq ft mill, situated on Stony Kill Creek in Chatham, NY, is 2.5 hrs north of New York City, in the heart of the Hudson Valley. With the vision to integrate renewable energy and the arts, so promoting a sustainable future through education and revitalization, renovation is underway to make this a Center. The first business in place is Sundog Solar, a solar design and installation company that also does sprayfoam insulation. A carbon neutral industrial facility, this 20,000 square foot building is heated with vegeatble oil, powered by the sun and insulated by soybased sprayfoam. Other tenants are expected to join us soon, a brewery, a welding business and we hope to begin glass recylcing and reuse with kilns, food drying, freezing & composting and many other exciting projects. Designs for beautiful solar container house kits are ready to go. Solaqua Power & Art is well positioned to play a visible and relevant role in the development of green-tech workforce training, renewable energy demonstrations and public education. The Center will feature a state-of-the-art training facility powered by renewable energy, with classrooms and labs that are equipped with a variety of solar thermal collectors, tanks, pumps, controllers, and other components. A mobile lab can be transported to other locations for hands-on training classes.www.sundogsolar.netwww.solaqua.org
