Solar Tompkins is a community solar initiative focused on facilitating a large-scale sustained increase in the rate of renewable energy deployment in Tompkins County, NY. This years program is focused on solar PV adoption by homeowners, and we have exceeded our goal of doubling the amount of residential solar PV installed to-date. Specifically there was just over 2 MW of solar PV at homes in the County as of May 2014, and the Solar Tompkins program has lead to another 3 MW of solar PV development in the last 6 months.
