SolarBuddy is an Australian impact organisation uniting a global community to illuminate the futures of children living in energy poverty.Energy poverty plunges 1.4 billion people into complete darkness, every night as they lack equal access to clean energy. They depend on primitive forms of energy like charcoal and firewood to ignite their way through the night. These forms of energy have a devastating impact on their health, well-being, economic stability, educational outcomes and the environment.Our goal is to gift six million solar lights to children living in energy poverty by 2030. The solar lights allow children to safely study after dusk and improve their educational outcomes.
