Fund-raising - Hamilton, Ohio, United States
High School Juniors and shoe enthusiasts Spencer Boyd, Curtis Harrison, Breiland Anderson and Kellen Newman are on a goodwill mission to outfit youth in need with a pair of new or nearly new quality sneakers through their 501C3 non-profit. It's really no surprise to those who knew them, considering that they are all know to be compassionate young men who only excel in sports and academics but also in community service.Sole Bros collect quality sneakers and donations to improve the lives of children across the globe. The teens delivered 1200 pairs of quality sneakers to youth in Kingston and Montego Bay Jamaica, 900 pairs to youth in the Volta Region of Ghana and over a thousand pairs to victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston and Beaumont Texas. In 2018 they opened a Sneaker Closet in the West End at Revelation Baptist Church stocked with sneakers and housing KPs Corner (in honor of friend and classmate Kyle Plush) which offers free tennis equipment for youthThe boys grow their organization by partnering with other non-profits that deliver services in areas with extremely limited resources. They anticipate eventually sending shoes to other Countries in the Caribbean, Africa and depressed areas in the United States.Sole Bros was created, in part, so that every kid could feel the same pride and sense of self-worth that it's founders do when they slip on a pair of quality athletic shoes for the first time. These young men are seeking to INSPIRE other youth to change the world! In order to further spread their message of INSPIRATION they wrote and published a children's book "Sole Bros Change the World" in 2018.
