Project to democratize organics in Rio de Janeiro, in both accessibility and price, by working directly with small local family farmers and focusing on seasonal produce. Because everyone deserves access to organic food and especially when Brazil is the largest consumer of pesticides in the world. Our aim in parallel is to increase the consumption of vegetables and greens - which is traditionally lacking in the local diet. The concept launched with the takeover of a kiosk on the beach of Copacabana for 6 months. Our kiosk was the only one on all the beaches of Rio, offering organic food, vegetarian and vegan options, and using only sustainable materials (i.e. no plastic containers, only biodegradable straws, and recycled wood for menus and serving platters) - all at an honest price.
