SOMA Robotics uses AI/ML, or humans using a mobile app, to respond to an active shooter situation. Our guiding principle is that "the purpose of conflict is to AVOID conflict."There are many nuances to using IoT devices to deter a possible bad-actor. You can't accidentally hit a delivery driver with 6000 lumens of strobe lights. But if a suspicious person approaches at 2AM, flashing 500 lumens at their feet, and escalating both in power and means of response (other deterrents like directional audio) if they continue to approach, is a reasonable response as long they are ethically warned.SOMA Robotics uses patent pending brushless motors to rapidly from robots physically installed on premise that are the approximate size of a typical Exit sign. SOMArobotics is a security system similar to the one you have now in your home or place of business. But one with the added ability to deter intruders or attackers by responding to them intelligently and blinding them with light. We are also looking at directional sound. Again, the primary goal is prevention. We want to help deter, to avoid the incident. But if an active shooter event at a school start, the robots must use aggressive but non-lethal automated responses until first responders arrive. When first responders arrive, or trained people in the facility, the system must work in conjunction with their efforts with particular attention to not having false positives.SOMA Robotics Hopes to assist your team with deescalating situations. Either under the control of an onsite operator, or a remote trained security monitoring company. We want to save lives with technology that exists today.We want to be able to send our kids to School, or go to SXSW, or a Nightclub, or a festival in Vegas with the knowledge that SOMA Robotics is our Guardian Angel
