President & CEO of PVEP visits and inspects Algeria projectOn 29/5/2015, the working mission of PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) led by Dr. Do Van Khanh, President & CEO, had a meeting at Project Bir Seba for Blocks 433a & 416b, Algeria - which was expected to produce the first commercial oil in the third quarter of 2015.Accompanying Dr. Do Van Khanh were Mr. Tran Binh Minh, Vice President and the leadership of PVEP Algeria.Dr. Do Van Khanh listens to Mr. Barka Moussa, Project Manager of the Groupement Bir Seba (GBRS) reporting on the project progressAt Bir Seba (Blocks 433a & 416b, Sahara Desert), Dr. Do Van Khanh was reported on the working progress, difficulties and problems faced by main contractor JGC and Joint Venture Partners of Sonatrach and PTTEP. The preparation for the First Oil Celebration is also being carried out urgently.PVEP delegation works with the representatives of the Groupement Bir Seba Joint Venture (PVEP - Sonatrach - PTTEP)The delegation also visited the whole site of surface equipment systems including the power generation, oil and gas processing, plumbing, tanks... and directly assessed the progress and the difficulties encountered.The delegation works with secondee staffs of PVEP Algeria in Hassi MessaoudThe exploration and production project of Blocks 433a and 416 b - Algeria between PVEP, PTTEP (Thailand) and Algerian National Petroleum Company (Sonatrach) is the first overseas petroleum project that PVEP has ever participated in as an operator. The project is expected to give the first oil in the third quarter of 2015 with production of 20,000 barrels/day.
