The SONDRA laboratory was born from the alliance of 4 organisations that were linked by independent collaborations. Its acronym is a contraction of Supelec ONERA NUS DSO Research Alliance (SupΓ©lec now CentraleSupΓ©lec) and represents the union between Singapore and France around fundamental research activities in the fields of electromagnetism and signal processing applied to radar. π’π¨π₯ π ππ¦π¦ππ’π‘-To maintain a research team in innovative fields,-To encourage cross-collaborations and exchanges between the four partners.-To establish a strong presence in the international scientific community through publications, seminars and workshops.-To open research networks to other French and European research institutions.ππππππππ ππππππππππ*ππ»πππΌπΆπ & πππ·πΈπΏπΏπΌππΊObjectives:-to understand the physical interactions between radar waves and complex environments as forests or urban areas. -to improve classical image processing tools or to propose new solutions for classification, detection or inversion.*ππΈπ πΆπππΆπΈπππ ππΌπΊππ΄πΏ ππ ππΆπΈπππΌππΊResearch focused on statistical signal processing and machine learning theories for robust estimation, detection, classification and clustering. Novel methodologies are developed based on model-driven and data-driven both approaches for enhancing performances of Radar and Hyperspectral Image processing with applications to STAP, MIMO radar, SAR and change detection.*ππΈππ πΊπΈππΈπ π΄ππΌππ π»π΄π π·ππ΄π πΈThe new generation hardware (NGHW) area aims to research and develop innovative antennas, radio frequency and microwave hardware, and signal processing hardware. The NGHW area includes R&D in advanced system architectures for RF and signal processing, phased array antennas, metamaterial antennas, wideband antennas, application of novel materials and novel components, microwave and milimeter wave circuits, integrated circuits, and software defined radio (SDR).
