Sophia's House Clinic is based in Bursledon, Hampshire, and offers high quality therapy treatments for children with special needs of any age. Our highly qualified therapists can provide a wide range of treatments for children with special needs such as Global Development Delay, Learning Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome and many more. We offer a happy and relaxed environment in which to help your child to reach their full potential.Sophia's House was founded in 2014 by a parent of a child with Global Developmental Delay. At the age of two she had very restricted movement and no means of communication. She could only receive limited treatment from the NHS so she decided to go abroad for intensive therapies. In total she spent nine months abroad, where Sophia received ten hours a week of physiotherapy and speech therapy. During this time her progress was substantial, Sophia started to walk and her communication and social interaction was greatly improved. During that period it become obvious that intensive therapies were the only way forward. Sophia is becoming more verbal, sociable and surprises us every day. We believe that she has improved because of the therapists support, but we also understand that there are many years of therapy to come for Sophia to reach her full personal potential. With Sophia's House we wanted to provide both the treatments that she needs as well as helping many other children and parents in the same situation.Our therapy programmes are as individual as each child. We spend our time getting to know your child creating the best and most supportive therapy programmes for them. We spend time getting to know you, your wants, needs and aspirations for your child's future. We aim to support every family who walks through our door, creating a happy and familial environment. We are more than just a therapy clinic, we are each other's support system, no one is in it alone.
