SOTS Course Centre is an independent division of Stavanger Offshore Technical College, which receives funding from commercial operations. The Course Centre specializes in providing high professional services, skilled training and education in the oil and gas industry, both onshore and offshore, nationally and internationally. The Course Centre also has its own Safety Centre with modern facilities in fire-fighting, sea-rescue and helicopter evacuation. Specialised areas of training and education are: Oil and gas drilling and well service Oil and gas process and production Hydraulics Mechanics and welding Safety and crisis management Crane/Lifting Management courses for offshore personnel Both the College and the Centre cooperate closely with the oil, gas and safety industries, private companies and public organizations, using the resources to ensure the delivery of professional services of the highest standards.
