Sound Mind & Body, located in Fremont, operates a fitness facility offering weight training, cardiovascular equipment areas, full court basketball and volleyball, classes that include: aerobics, sport and body conditioning, yoga, TRX, cycling.\\Sound Mind & Body (SMB) is a closely held corporation, owned and operated by two principals: Victoria Harrington and Richard Harrington. \\Historically, Sound Mind & Body's owners have been on the leading edge of the fitness industry, beginning in 1981 with large group aerobics classes in gymnasium space at the University of Washington, Hutchinson Hall and other satellite locations. In 1985, the Fremont Gym facility was opened on an industrial site beneath the Aurora Bridge. The Fremont gym has grown from it's original 10,000 square feet and 500 members to 39,000 square feet and has approximately 3,000 members. This club has a large gymnasium for Volleyball and Basketball, complete aerobics, cycling and yoga studios, weight training, cardio machine floor and locker rooms with saunas. MTI Physical Therapy sublets office space at Sound Mind & Body.\\One of the keys to SMB's success is the experienced professionals on staff. As a team, they provide complete and varied expertise in physiology, fitness programming and instruction, instruction, leadership, marketing and promotion and services to customers.
