Source.ag is accelerating the global transition to sustainable agriculture with A.I. powered greenhouses. As the global food production is short of estimated future needs, innovation is vital and swiftly needed to meet future demand. By 2050, we'll need 50% more food (to feed 9.6B people), while increasingly extreme weather conditions and the scarcity of resources are expected to reduce global crop yields up to 20%.Greenhouse farming has the enormous potential to produce fresh food in a more sustainable and secure way: it can generate 10-20x higher yields, while using 18x less water than open field farming, without the need of scarce arable land or toxic pesticides. While there is demand for greenhouses, the global transition to a more sustainable way of farming is hindered by the high dependency on and growing shortage of (human) growers to operate these facilities. Our solution? A.I. technology that simplifies greenhouse farming. Our team of experienced engineers and plant scientists (from e.g. KLM, BCG, McKinsey, Wageningen University) has partnered with the world's leading growers to build the sector's most advanced artificial intelligence. Our proprietary algorithms simulate plant behavior to define and execute optimal cultivation strategies, taking into account millions of data points on climate, biology, and resources. By enabling growers to operate more hectares more efficiently through our pioneering tech, Source.ag is making greenhouse agriculture more accessible, profitable and globally scalable. This summer we will roll out our technology in greenhouses across Europe and Africa in partnership with the world's leading tomato and pepper growers. An area totalling 350 hectares, the size of Central Park in New York City.Together we're on a mission to produce more fresh fruits and vegetables for more people - using less resources.
