Since its creation in Aug. of 2003, South American Soy has invested$1.7M in capital in Brazil to purchase and develop 3500 acres in thestate of Tocantins, approximately 500 miles northeast of Brasilia.Farm development activities continue, and in Nov. of 2009, thecompany will plant its seventh crop. Productive fields totalingnearly 1500 acres have now been developed by converting cerrado(rangeland) and degraded pasture areas into cropland.
