South-East Lumber Company was started in 1960 by owner/founder Clyde H. Brackett. At its inception, the Company brokered lumber products without a storage and distribution location. Within three years the Company's rapid success led to the necessary purchase of acreage in Burke County, NC where a second, sister corporation was established to provide for the storage and distribution of forest products required to supply the retail lumber outlets in the Carolinas and surrounding states. Today, South-East Lumber Company remains family owned and operated and guided by the leadership of Steve Brackett, President of the Company, and three generations of experience. With a pressure treating plant and a distribution center located in Kernersville, NC, the Company continues to inventory and distribute a wide variety of forest products into the retail building supply marketplace. By stocking such a large array of products, South East Lumber differentiates itself among other wholesale lumber companies in the southeast region of the United States. Owing tremendous credit to all of their customers, South-East Lumber Company will continue to remain unique among its competition in reference to significant product availability and superb service.
