We provide emergency & general assistance to members of the public who call for on radio via the Citizen Band and the Maritime radio networks, We maintain a listening watch for distress and safety calls along with calls for service where police, fire or ambulance are required to attend an incident. We also provide radio checks and weather forecasts on request. We can be contacted on the following channels UHF CB 05 Brisbane repeater & VHF Marine 81 Repeater. Our callsign name is "SEQUEST RADIO" Our commitment to service is exemplified by the diverse and various operations for the group has engaged in, from providing communication assistance in the 2011 floods, the Leukaemia Foundation's "Light the Night", to ex-tropical Cyclone Debbie, where our emergency operators responded to hundreds of calls, providing real-time updates to the general public - via two-way radio, social media, satellite phone and SMS. SEQUEST is also a designated marine communications operator, providing part time volunteer marine distress monitoring resources across South East Queensland. SEQUEST has, and will continue, to provide emergency communication, monitoring and engineering resources to various not-for-profit volunteer organizations across South East Queensland.
