The South Indy QOL Plan (SoIndy QOLP) seeks to engage the residents, businesses, and organizations within our eight neighborhoods to implement our vision for equitable and sustainable community development. South Indy is an area that has been overlooked for decades but features assets like Garfield Park, University of Indianapolis, and Pleasant Run Greenway. With the Red Line bus rapid transit coming to Shelby Street in 2019, now is a crucial time for smart community development with leadership from within the Southside. We strive to fill vacant houses and commercial buildings, improve homes of our current residents, promote jobs and adult education opportunities, and make our community safer, healthier, and better connected.
