Southeastern Materials Testing provides salt spray/salt fog and cyclic testing in order to help clients accurately determine how corrosion will impact the functionality or appearance of their product. Accelerated weathering tests are meant to determine if a product and its' coatings will properly withstand the corrosive environments it will get exposed to without losing its integrity. The SMT lab can accurately determine the impact of corrosion on various products, including coupons, panels, automotive and heavy machinery parts. As part of our commitment to unbiased data, our testing services include a detailed report on the progression or formation of rust on coated test samples, as well as pictures.
