SouthEdge is a young software company, based in the island of Malta. Our main activity is near-shoring software development for ICT European companies. Why do we base our activities in Malta? In our opinion Malta is a perfect context to base a ICT company, thanks to lower cost, a favourable environment for ICT and the high level skill of workforce What do we mean with "near-shoring"? Near shoring means something very close to "off-shoring development", where the main difference is in the location near the Customer. This implies better comunications and easier relations between Customer and near-shoring development team, thanks to geographical and cultural reasons; this condition reflects positively on the overall project management, leading to better results and cost containment.
