Southern Cross Care Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, an Australia-wide Catholic service organisation.Over 40 years ago, the Knights saw a need in the community to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to the most vulnerable in our community, the ageing population. After years of hard work and perseverance, the doors to our first aged care home, Archbishop Duhig Court, were opened at Holland Park in 1979.While times have changed, our unwavering commitment to the provision of the highest quality services, and the care, love and respect that we offer to those who choose to come to live with us or use our services, remains steadfast. Today, Southern Cross Care Queensland operates 5 retirement villages, 12 aged care facilities, 28 social houses, NDIS services and community home care services across South East Queensland.
