The Southern Regional Children's Advocacy Center (SRCAC), a project of the National Children's Advocacy Center, is located in Huntsville, Alabama. SRCAC is one of four Regional CACs established by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) in 1995 to provide training and technical assistance to child abuse professionals located within each region. States included in the Southern region: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.SRCAC provides a full complement of trainings in Huntsville and custom trainings, technical assistance, financial assistance, and information services for developing and established multidisciplinary teams, local Children's Advocacy Centers, and state Chapter organizations of Children's Advocacy Centers within the Southern Region. Specifically, SRCAC focuses on the development of quality training for child abuse professionals serving children and families and works collaboratively with our Victims of Child Abuse Act partners—the National Children's Advocacy Center, the National Children's Alliance, Zero Abuse Project, and the other Regional CACs—to achieve its goals.
