Southern Sudan DDR Commission leads the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) program in South Sudan. The program was designed as an integral element of Sudan's Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005 and it is the largest and most complex DDR program ever attempted. Both Northern and Southern armies have agreed to significantly reduce the ranks of armed combatants.
