Individual & Family Services - Chicago, IL, United States
Since its founding in 1983, Southside Center of Hope has helped more than 4,000 families recover from homelessness and the disease of drug addiction through an intensive 12- to 18-month residential program designed to meet the unique biological, psychological, social, and familial needs of female substance abusers and their children. Southside Center of Hope is the only recovery home in the State of Illinois that provides long-term care to women that does not charge program fees or bill insurance, enabling us to serve those women most in need who have no resources. Our Substance Abuse Recovery Program is the core of what we strive for each day. The program provides a wide range of recovery, prevention, and education services to female substance abusers and their children. Our central goal is to teach homeless substance-addicted women to accept life without the use of drugs and alcohol, thereby enhancing their chances of becoming self-sufficient, law abiding, and productive members of society.
