Healthcare Facility/Healthcare Services - Phoenix, AZ, US
At Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS our mission is to prevent and reduce HIV infection, improve the quality of life for those impacted by the disease, and contribute to worldwide research. Founded in 1990, the agency reaches 30,000 Arizona men, women, children and seniors each year who are affected or infected by HIV/AIDS. The organization's new facility, The Parsons Center for Health and Wellness, is helping us achieve our goal of providing a highly coordinated approach to HIV/AIDS prevention and care. Southwest Center has brought quality community healthcare providers together under one roof, along with a vitamin shop, clinical trials, shared community conference and educational space, and a youth and family resource center. Providers include longtime partner and the state's largest HIV primary care clinic, McDowell Healthcare Center and HIV-specialty pharmacy, Avella. Southwest Center is the only organization in the Southwestern U.S. that combines prevention and education programs, health and wellness services, and clinical trials research in a single location.
