Farming - Coupland, Texas, United States
We are an up and coming sustainable farm located just East of Austin, TX. We are using regenerative farming practices to re-introduce biodiversity in land used for large crop production over the last century. We employ a number of techniques to achieve this diversity: rotational, mob-grazing (i.e., high density of animals in a limited enclosure, rotated to fresh forage, daily); species variety; permaculture gardening; composting; pollinator gardening; native pasture revitalization. As a byproduct of these regenerative farming practices, we produce a number of farm offerings, including: chicken, duck and goose eggs; dairy products; seasonal fruits and veggies; cut flowers; honey; skin care products; seedlings; seeds; small bale hay; medicinal herbs; chicken, duck, pork, lamb, rabbit meat, when available. Furthermore, we breed Kunekune pigs, Dorper sheep, A2A2-mini Jersey cows, TAMUK composite rabbits, and assorted fowl. We are open for farm tours and offer educational experiences for those wanting a closer view of farm life.
