Following Georgia, Azerbaijan was the second country in the region to join the global SPAR family. After research into possible partners, Araz was selected to operate SPAR in the market. A company servicing more than 37,000 daily customers, Araz operates convenience stores and neighbourhood supermarkets. The first SPAR store in Azerbaijan opened in the capital city, Baku, in December 2015
