SPARK ushers us through creative play by replacing cell phones with arts and crafts, booze with a tea lounge, and work talk with recess style games and classic summer camp activities within a beautiful natural summer camp setting. It's a opportunity to press pause on the everyday distractions of adult life, to define yourself by more than your job title or age, to be free to be silly, to explore, to make new friends, and to connect through art, music, wellness activities, and play. By removing the layers of surface-level identification and facilitating activities that bring people together, campers are supported in (re)learning how to engage and connect beyond small talk and to have an unadulterated blast while doing it. "So many people say they have trouble disconnecting from their phones, or making new friends as adults, so we're creating a space where you're given that freshman feeling." —Joel Armor aka Flashlight, Camp Co-CreatorFounders, Joel Armor aka Flashlight and Lindsey Armor aka Earl Grey have deep roots in the Cincinnati art and wellness circles. In addition to offering SPARK mini camp experiences for companies and groups, Flashlight teaches art and design at DAAP, and Earl Grey is a health coach and yoga/meditation instructor with Nourish Cincinnati. Inspired by personal experiences attending Camp Grounded in California, they noticed the combination of creativity and wellness in nature was lacking in the midwest and brought Portland-based Chrystal Roggenkamp aka Luxx onto the team. Luxx brings her experience as a lifetime summer camp counselor, camper, former member of the Cincinnati Rollergirls, and a contributor to various creative industry projects in the Cincinnati and Portland communities.www.mycampspark.com // hello@mycampspark.com // facebook.com/MyCampSpark
