SparkTruck is an educational build-mobile—essentially a makerspace on wheels. It has completed several cross-country trips and worked with thousands of students and teachers, spreading the fun of hands-on learning and encouraging kids to find their inner maker. SparkTruck began at Stanford University, as the masters thesis of a group of design students. It has lived at Stanford until 2017, when it was adopted by Southern Methodist University. Reborn as the SMU MakerTruck, it's now engaged in maker education initiatives in the Dallas, TX area.
