A student organization at Michigan State University, connecting students with volunteer opportunities on campus and in the Greater Lansing Area while allowing them to build friendships with members who share the same passion.A variety of volunteer events are available to students daily, including working with, The Boys and Girls Running Club, Ronald McDonald house, Haven House, local elementary schools, retirement communities, The Tri-County office of aging, food distribution, and more. Each event usually has 10+ volunteers at, as we have over 400 active members involved in SRM.Each year we have annual fundraisers. In the Spring, Stair Klimb for Kids at the Breslin Center benefits the Children's Miracle Network, and an annual 5k that supports a local veteran organization; in the past we have worked with Stiggy's Dogs and American Coalition of Veterans. Such events have raised upwards of $10,000.Not only do our members have the satisfaction of helping others, but SRM is also a great way to network and build relationships.
