We specialize in providing complete off-grid electrification (with optional back-up) to rural and undeveloped communities in South Africa and other African countries. Our off-grid solar electrification projects provide an effective and renewable energy source that meets the highest safety and design specifications. We focus heavily on the sustainability of our alternative energisation systems - working together with universities, NGOs, local government and, more especially, involving the local communities and their leadership. Our workforce has been drawn from the unskilled - with each individual trained to competently handle specialist portfolios; an enormous boost to the individual's pride and self-worth. It is part of SSS's vision to train and equip unskilled labor to increase manufacture of these DC Micro-Grids in all rural and disadvantaged areas throughout Africa, creating sustainable employment and social upliftment for as long as the sun continues to shine. We at SSS are only in the beginning stages of an incredible journey – both humbling and exciting – to bring sustainable, renewable, affordable, off-grid solar energy into the estimated 600 million non-electrified homes in Africa [source: World Bank]: fast-tracking job creation, infrastructure, communication, water purification, education, entertainment, possibilities, hope …and a better standard of living for all.
