Individual Therapy - Speech and Language AssessmentAs part of a speech/language assessment, a case history will be obtained by interviewing parents. The child's speech and language skills will be evaluated during play and informal observation. Standardized testing may also be conducted. With parents' consent, information from other professionals who interact with the child may be obtained.- Speech-Language Therapy As a result of the Assessment, the goals to facilitate self-expression, language and communication skills will be set. Play is incorporated into the sessions making therapy a fun and positive experience.2. ConsultationIn order to multiply our efforts in setting and reaching the same goals we are happy to consult with other professionals who may work with a child.Speech and Language service fees are covered by most private health insurance plans.Expert and personalized therapy conducted by Speech and Language Pathologists who are fully licensed and registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Service fees are covered by most private health insurance plans under speech language therapy. The amount of coverage will depend upon an individual's plan. There is no direct billing. Payment is by cash or cheque. An official receipt will be given against the payment that can be submitted to insurance company for reimbursement through an individual's health plan coverage.45 minute and 1 hour treatment sessions are available. Assessments take 1 hour.
