SPIC Nagar Hr.Sec.School was established in 1973 to cater to the needs of the children of the immediate vicinity. The sisters of the Holy Cross Congregation of Chavanod were requested to run the school. Our school was recognized as a High School in 1977.In June 1989 a committee consisting of representatives from SPIC, TAC and HWP took over the reins of the school administration from the sisters of Holy Cross and from then on have been successfully steering the school into never heights of achievements. Our school was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School in 1990 to 1991.The School Managing Committee consists of seven committee members and 6 Permanent Invitees with Mr.S.R.Ramakrishnan as the President, Mr.T.S.Premsundar as the Secretary and Mr. L. Babu Radhakrishnan as the Headmaster. Their focused approach and constant support have steered our school into greater heights.We have a strength 1454 students moulded by a dedicated team of 69 teaching and 6 non teaching staff. The outstanding performance of our students in academics, curricular, co curricular and sports bear testimony to the caliber, sincerity, devotion to duty and hardwork put in by our staff.We have maintained the unbeaten legacy of cent percent results in the S.S.L.C Higher Secondary First year and Higher Secondary Second year Public Examination . It is a matter of legitimate pride to state that as in the previous years this year too many of our students gained admission in various renowned institutions.Besides attaining academic excellence our students have displayed rich variety of talent by winning kudos in co curricular and sports activities. In the zonal level sports and games our school bagged the overall championship Our school has been the proud recipient of the best school in Games in the District Level for seven years in succession. To make the students to excel in sports and games special coaching is given for volley ball, Chess, Silambam and shuttle badminton in the school campus
